It's Raining, It's Pouring! ACT NOW!

If Gov. Perry's budget cuts $10 Billion from Public Education 100,000 teachers and staff could lose their jobs. He claims to have created 850,000 jobs but how could he accept a budget that would cut 100,000 jobs in education; increasing class sizes and eliminating the Technology Allotment Fund that provides resources for our students they will need to compete in the 21st century.

The Rainy Day Fund was set up to stabilize our economy during difficult times. If $10 billion are cut from education the fall out won't just be just felt in job losses but in the future of our children. This fund is replenished with oil and gass revenues each year and with the price of oil rising to $100/barrel this fund will be replenished much faster that it has in the past.

Call your legislators today and ask them to fund education NOW! The next 10 days are crucial to the vote on whether they will pull funds from the Rainy Day Fund or not.
